Sweat, Soap, Sweat

She walked around the room, peering along the walls and looking in corners and behind various weight machines. I wondered what she was searching for. She walked by me and gave a quick smile, which made me even harder. She had wonderfully clear blue eyes. I returned her smile and watched as she exited the room.

With renewed vigor, I increased my pace on the bike, thinking of that smile and those eyes and those legs, pushing myself until the sweat poured down my brow and my lungs ached. When I finally completed my programmed circuit, I slumped forward and rested my head on the control panel, gasping. After resting like that for a couple of minutes, I got off the bike, wiped everything down, and walked over to the water fountain to refill my bottle.

I stood there and gulped down the deliciously cold water, then refilled the bottle and sipped some more. The door opened again, and the blonde came back, holding some white plastic bags in one hand. She walked by me again and I said: “Find what you were looking for?”

My Favorite Pupil

Victoria was my favorite pupil. I taught history classes at the college, and she never was able to get above a D, but she was insistent that she needed at least a B to be eligible for some grant or other that she wanted to apply for. She had come to me about halfway through the semester, pleading for a break and letting me know that she’d be willing to do anything I required. “Anything at all,” she’d said, licking her lips and leaning over my desk to give me a good long look down her low-cut blouse. Since then, she’d been coming to my office weekly for some “help” from me in improving her grade.
